Collection: Tribal Jewellery

Tribal jewellery in Odisha is a rich and intricate craft that has been passed down through generations. The art form is predominantly found in various districts of Odisha, including Rayagada, Phulbani, Gajapati, Koraput, Nawangpur, and Dhenkanal.

The artisans involved in this craft are mainly from the tribal communities such as the Skandhas, Bondas, Koyas, Gadabs, Gondas, Santhals, Mundas, and others. These artisans use locally available metals like aluminium, brass, copper, and silver to create a wide range of jewellery pieces, including earrings, hoops, ear stretchers, nose rings, septum rings, necklaces, waistbands, amulets, bangles, and anklets.

The designs and materials used vary across regions and communities, reflecting their unique cultural significance. Odisha's tribal jewellery has gained popularity and has been recognized with several awards, including the Shilp Guru Award for artisans like Shri Raghu Rana and Shri Pradeep Kumar Nayak.
